When we stop in Joplin, there is often a visit to StarBucks involved. Our hotel is close by and parking is no problem! On the road, we pass lots of groovy coffee places and I look at them longingly as we pass by. Even when they advertise a "Drive Thru", we just can't manage to fit our 8' wide 70' long ride into the parking lot - much less through the Drive Thru.
But in Joplin . . . Tony often makes a morning run for us.
He has to write down my order.
It took me awhile to figure out the correct java jargon.
Here's mine
Triple Grande Sugar-Free HazelNut Upside Down Low-Fat Latte with 2 Splendas
What's yours?

WTF is upside down about it? Mine is Grande half-caff non-fat one raw sugar, please latte. ;) Danielle
Hey Girlie - glad to see you got the comment thingy working! Upside down means that they put in the steamed milk first and then pour the shots of espresso through - sort of a premix without stirring. I hate getting just a sip of steamed milk with that first tip of the cup.
I've heard about that upside down thing....when a Barista told me I was ordering mine "wrong". I usually get a Venti Caramel Latte, Extra Hot, Extra Foam. And I also like, during the warmer months, a Venti Iced Latte - although, Dunkin Donuts latte's are 10000% better. Well, Dunkin Donuts coffee is that much better in general....but it's a bitch trying to find them - especially once you leave the Northeast.
I'll take a pilot coffee with plain jane creamer any day over starbucks.
